Home Center 2 – the brains of the Fibaro smart home system was awarded Best Gadget of the Year 2012 by Men’s Stuff 2012. HC2 was considered the most masculine product of the year in the category of ‘gadgets and electronics’.
“Men’s Stuff “(Meska Rzecz), organized annually by the TVN Turbo is a popular poll in which the best men’s innovations are voted for in four categories. The categories are: Automotive, Daily Stuff, Hobbies & Sports, Gadgets & Electronics.
In the first stage of the competition, a jury comprising top journalists and celebrities decides on three finalists for each category. However, the public makes the final decision, voting for their favourites via SMS.
The final gala of this year’s “Men’s Stuff” took place on 8 December in Warsaw.
LG’s 3D TV 84” Ultra HD, Samsung’s Galaxy SIII and Fibaro’s Home Center 2 competed in the finals of the Gadgets and Electronics category. However, it was Home Center 2 that gathered the largest number of votes.
Home Center 2 allows any home or apartment to be converted into a smart home, increasing both comfort and security. “Winning this award confirms that our product is an essential product for every true man, because every true man wants to ensure the comfort and safety of their family,” says Maciej Fiedler, CEO of Fibaro Group, a manufacturer of the Fibaro wireless intelligent building control system.
Home Center 2 was designed from scratch by Fibaro Group’s engineers to enable intelligent building management. Home Center 2 is based on the Z-Wave wireless standard, and is able to control the majority of electrical devices and appliances in the home.
Thanks to Fibaro, the smart home can be controlled from anywhere in the world with a user-friendly and easy to use application for mobile devices such as laptops, smartphones, and tablets. The system also operates autonomously on information received from its sensors and via GPS.
The Fibaro system uses standard wireless installation, and requires no invasive installation or redecorating.
